Today was a special day. Dana Vlase followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. It’s been a tough 15 months for her since she was saved to get to this point but in the end, God got the victory through correct Biblical knowledge of what baptism is and isn’t. None of Dana’s family (parents and siblings) came. In fact, they are blaming Dana for her mother’s “panic attack” that sent her to the hospital earlier this week. It was a blessing, though, to see the Vlase’s neighbors, Andrei and Adriana come.
Please pray for the salvation of Terezia. She will be 80 this year. She’s been coming regularly for a good while now. After the evening service a couple of the ladies came to ask me about some things I said as I’m preaching through Jude. Terezia joined us and, having seen the baptism this morning, said that she wanted to be baptized so that she can be saved also. Pastor Mihai had preached such a clear and direct message about what baptism is and isn’t, that I was frustrated with her statement. After talking with her for a good while she was still so confused that, while she would accept the idea that she was a sinner, she still said that she didn’t do anything bad in her life. Lyn is going to start an evangelistic Bible study with her later this week. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will work in her heart and open her mind to understand the Truth.
April was a blessed month in that our people gave a record amount both to our building fund and to missions. I honestly don’t know how they did it, but it is a blessing to see God’s work in their hearts. Please continue to pray as we seek God’s leading concerning a permanent location for our church and as we seek God’s will for our first missionary to support through our Faith Promise program.
Thank you for praying for Sam and his mission trip to Tanzania. He still needs $400 to meet the funds needed. (Visit https://www.gofundme.com/ms9uh6-tanzania-missions-trip if the Lord leads you to help.) He also needs to find a job that can accommodate this trip.
